June is the month for World Pride, and 2019 marks 50 years since the Stonewall riots which acted as a catalyst for the LGBT+ liberation movement.
At tootoot we believe it’s important that young people learn about the LGBT+ community and history, so this knowledge can empower them to become role models and advocates for LGBT+ equality.
How will you be celebrating Pride in your school?
We have created a free Pride 2019 toolkit to help you celebrate in school and raise awareness of LGBT+ issues, bullying and discrimination.
The toolkit will be available from the 3rd – 28th June for the first 100 schools and includes:
- Various primary and secondary lesson plans, activities, assemblies and ideas to support LGBT+ education
- Six weeks access to tootmood – the simple feedback app that makes it easy to track the feelings and wellbeing of your pupils
- Six weeks access to tootoot – the pupil voice software that gives pupils a simple and trusted way to speak up about anything that is making them unhappy or unsafe.
