Pupil Voice Week is an awareness week founded by tootoot. Now in it’s 8th year, every Pupil Voice Week celebrates a different theme related to Pupil Voice. This year we’re celebrating the amazing things that happy when our children and young people ‘make their voice count.’ Empowering children’s voices should be at the core of everything we do which is why we hold Pupil Voice Week every year at the end of September!
To help you make the most of the week and our amazing resources we’ve prepared a resources plan for you. Use this as a starting point when planning how you will use the assemblies, activities, and resources in your Pupil Voice Week resource area! Haven’t signed up yet? Visit pupilvoiceweek.com to get your resources today.
Launch your school’s Pupil Voice Week with an assembly! There are assembly plans available exploring the theme ‘make your voice count’, mental health, wellbeing, anti-bullying and speaking up.
Don’t forget, today is also the day to print your posters and display your certificate proudly!
Introduce your pupils to the topic with tootoot’s Debating Game or Interview activity – get your pupils to think about ways they can use their voice to make sure it counts for themselves and for others!
Explore over 100 resources across themes such as mental health, wellbeing, pupil voice, and anti-bullying to supplement the learning plans for you and your pupils.
Dig into what this year’s theme ‘Make Your Voice Count’ means to your school and ask pupils to create their own Pupil Voice Week Poster. Share photos of the posters with us using @tootootofficial and #pupilvoiceweek.
Finish the week by bringing together everything you have learned as a class, use tootoot’s Speech Bubble and Letter activities as a creative way to help your pupils reflect on what they’ve learned this week!
