This is how to keep children active without a garden
Staying active is paramount to maintaining a healthy mind and body. In an ideal world everyone would have space to exercise outside, but we know this is not the case for every family.
To help with this, we have rounded up different ideas and resources that will keep your students active, specifically aimed at young people who live in flats, or are not able to go outside.
Balloon volleyball
Make a net by tying a piece of string from one chair to another. Then blow up a balloon and start volleying!
Set up a maze
Turn a room into a “laser” maze with wool or string. Zigzag the thread from varying heights and try to get across without touching the laser.
Obstacle course
Create a furniture course around your house and add in specific mental or physical challenges.
Learn a dance routine with Oti
Strictly Come Dancing champion Oti Mabuse and her husband Marius Lepure are offering daily dance classes to kids. Taking place at 11.30am, the live-streamed lessons focus on fun movements that anyone can master, with no previous experience required.
